Pregnant Minors’ Assistance Overview
Are you under the age of 18 and pregnant for at least 20 weeks?
Are you unable to pay your expenses?
During your pregnancy, you may be eligible for monthly cash support from the Ministry of Labour, Employment, and Social Solidarity.
Your eligibility will be verified
You must, among other things, meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Pregnant Minor Financial Assistance Program:
- Make sure you’re at least 20 weeks pregnant.
- Obtain a recommendation from a community service center in your area (CLSC) This link will take you to a new tab.
- Reside in the province of Québec.
You must not be a resident of the following conditions to be eligible:
- Together with your parents.
- You’re with someone who is in charge of you.
- In a resource that is covered by the Act on Health and Social Services.

Financial aid application
There are four phases to submitting an application for Financial Support for Pregnant Minors.
Step 1: Locate a community service center in your area
Find a CLSC using your postal code or the name of your region. This link will take you to a new tab. , as well as directions, hours of operation, and services available.
Step 2: Obtain the tracking sheet for the local community service center
The CLSC Follow-Up Sheet – Financial Assistance for Pregnant Minors (SR-2438A), signed by the CLSC worker in charge of your case, is required.
Step 3: Submit your financial aid application
The Application for Financial Assistance – Financial Support for Pregnant Minors form (SR-2437A) must be completed.
Step 4: Fill up and submit your financial aid application
You must send the completed form to a Services Québec office, together with the appropriate supporting documentation.
Assistance with finances offered
The sum awarded is as follows:
- A maximum of $848 per month is available.
- If you reside in a non-profit organization that provides you with lodging and board, you’ll pay $260 each month. A rehabilitation center, a group home managed by a youth center, or a foster family are not eligible.
Your support decreases if you have additional sources of income during pregnancy.
